Black Love is Black Power!
The Hood Inheritance
Black Love is the seed but you become the roots and the fruits that blossom each Spring.
The Hood Inheritance is Black Love and I am not talking about that struggle kind. It is a personal love letter to my younger self that I know will benefit others if they are on a similar path but feel lost with all the distractions. The goal was always to learn to love my Black self. I am a Black woman in a very Eurocentric place that shuns every practice that came from wince I once came and we were taught to hate ourselves. While many will ask why focus on this I say why not? The Black American culture is rich as is our people and this is the Black Experience.
As a mature Black woman coming into her own and leaving the stage of Maiden and becoming a Mother in spiritual terms, I bring to pass the birth of fulfillment that is here ’til the end. As I sew my seed, the roots are everlasting and will blossom come next Spring. I know what I was meant to do and what it will cost me. I am more than willing to pay the price out of the love for who I was, who I have become and who I will be before it is all done. My seeds have been planted now I prune and till. May you be blessed. May we be blessed. So let it be. ~Afrodite Blaque ~ Black Love ~ Black Excellence.
